Phased Return to Swimming, Team Aquatics Night & AGM Announcement
Dear KCS Families,
Thank you for your patience as we continue to solidify plans for our 2025-26 season. Below you'll find important updates about our phased start, upcoming events, and opportunities to get involved.
Phased Start to Swimming
We know our swimmers are eager to get in the water and we’ve come up with a plan to get our older swimmers into the water next week. It was so great to see many of them at the pool this week for public swimming!
Phase 1: Early Lap Swimming (Week of Sept 15–20)
Swimmers in AG 1, AG 2, and Tier 1–3 who have registered and paid their insurance are invited to attend their regular afternoon swim times for lap swimming. We will have volunteers at the pool with swim suit order forms and copies of our Code of Conduct for swimmers and guardians to sign.
- Coach Berke and Coach Abby will be on deck to meet swimmers, answer questions, and provide workouts on the whiteboard.
- AG 1 & AG 2 will swim in the shallow end with Coach Abby.
- Tier 1–3 will swim in the deep end with Coach Berke.
Note: there will be no dryland or morning practices this week
Phase 2: Full Practice Begins (Starting Sept 22)
All swimmers, including Novice and Junior, will begin regular practices on Monday, September 22nd.
- Novice and Junior swimmers should meet at the bottom of the stairs by the shallow end on their first day.
- Increased coaching and structured programming will begin for all groups.
Note: Options for dryland are still being evaluated; we will provide updates before the 22nd on when we anticipate dryland may start.
We continue to actively work to recruit a Head Coach and will provide updates as they become available. We remain optimistic for a great season ahead and appreciate your continued support.
